Stonehouse Woodworks of Golden BC recently delivered a large post and beam project to a client in British Columbia’s beautiful Slocan Valley. This stunning log package featured round, large diameter main posts, several rounds of scribed logs and more post and beam work above in the second floor area. This log house was built with premium Douglas fir logs. A large log truss will frame the windows that look down the valley. This hybrid log house will incorporate conventionally framed panels to infill between the posts and beams. This allows the client many options to customize and personalize the design and feel of the house while making the log work a prominent feature.
