Log Home Restoration: Time Machine for Sale!
Originally built in the late 1800’s, this beautiful antique log house is ready to become a home again and stand brilliantly for another century.
At Stonehouse Woodworks, we are passionate about saving and restoring heritage log buildings and antique timber houses. This 25′ x 33′ Eastern Hemlock log house shell was imported from Ontario to our log yard in Golden BC. We have completed the repair and restoration work; this building is now available for sale and ready to be shipped.
Built with huge hand hewn logs, up to 19″ tall, it is a very impressive structure. The log house features dovetail joinery, 11′ tall log walls and the original 3″ x 8″ hand planed floor joists to carry a full second floor. The original axe marks, the old nail holes and the faint pencil marks from the first builders are still visible, and each whispers a story about the building’s past.
This antique log house will make a stunning and unique home, or could be incorporated into a larger project as a feature piece. Visit our For Sale page on our web site, www.stonehousewoodworks.com if you would like more details on this log house and others that we have available.
